Philosophy

Margie has a passion for helping families learn to break unhealthy past dysfunctional patterns by helping them find ways to provide a nurturing, loving, supportive and healthy environment for themselves and those around them. She believes that God intends us all to have an abundant life with meaningful relationships and Godly purpose. Her interest began early in life when her mother was diagnosed with a debilitating mental illness that affected her large family; there was little help available for her mother and family. She is thankful that mental health support and help has made significant advances.

Her counseling is a holistic, Christ-centered approach, integrating mind, body and spirit into healing and growth. She respects the dignity, worth and uniqueness of each person as God’s creation. Margie believes in the sanctity of marriage as the foundation for a healthy family system. She uses proven research based approaches to healing and wholeness. Although a Christian, Margie welcomes people of all faith. She brings a wealth of life experiences to her practice from family life, church life, education and work experience in the health field.
